Client's Problem
DKM Power is an experienced manufacturer of solutions for the mechanical engineering industry and a licensed distributor of KISSsoft AG software. The DKM Power e-commerce platform struggled with serious problems that hindered its development and generated losses:
- Lack of optimization and low conversion: the purchasing path was not optimized, resulting in a large number of abandoned carts and unrealized orders.
- Long time to implement changes: introducing new functionalities on the platform took weeks, significantly slowing down business development.
- Security and stability problems: the store fell victim to hacker attacks, and the process of restoring the platform to full functionality was long and complicated.
- Limited control over infrastructure: the platform was located on an external provider’s server, preventing cost optimization and flexible infrastructure management

Proposed Solution
Over the course of two years of cooperation, the team focused on comprehensive modernization and stabilization of the sales platform. The actions taken covered both the technical aspect and user experience (UX) optimization.
- Audit and optimization of the purchasing path: a detailed audit of the website was conducted, identifying “bottlenecks” in the purchasing process. Based on this, navigation was rebuilt to be more intuitive and fully responsive on mobile devices. The method of entering order data was also changed to be more user-friendly.
- Business logic improvement: dependency of available payment methods on the selected delivery form was introduced, simplifying the order finalization process.
- Migration and server administration: the platform was moved to a new server infrastructure, fully controlled by the client and administered by the project team.
Achieved Results
- 2 percentage point increase in conversion: thanks to the optimization of the purchasing path and UX improvement, the conversion rate increased significantly
- Full control over infrastructure: The Client gained full control over their store’s server environment, allowing for flexibility and cost optimization.
- Acceleration of development: thanks to streamlined processes and constant consulting, the time to deliver new functionalities was radically shortened, opening the platform to new development opportunities.

“ Before working together, we struggled with an unstable platform and a complicated purchasing process that discouraged our customers. Thanks to the changes made and moving the store to new infrastructure, we not only regained full control over the system, but above all achieved an increase in the conversion rate. ”
